The Xbox One version of FIFA 14 has received a title update, fixing some of the game's most commonly reported bugs.

According to an official post on the EA forums, the title update is the same as the one released for the PlayStation 4 version last December.

The patch notes state the following fixes have been made:

  • Some stability issues when entering Online matches.
  • Some cases where users with large friends lists can't access certain Online features.
  • Allows the Goalkeeper in Clubs mode to change camera angles.
  • Modifications to a couple of camera angles in specific stadiums to improve playability.
  • Ensures the Brazuca match ball appears properly in FUT once redeemed in the EAS FC Catalogue.
  • Resolves some Online issues regarding match invites.
  • Improvements to some Kinect Global Speech Commands.
  • Occurrences of mismatched roster names in Seasons matches.
  • Virtual Pro Ball Skills varying from match to match.
  • Random list appearing instead of Friends Clubs list in Pro Clubs.
  • "Our commitment to improve the FIFA 14 is ongoing, and regular feedback from our fans helps us prioritize and identify future improvements," the post also states.

FIFA continues to be a top-seller for EA. The game took the No. 1 spot on the UK all formats, all prices chart last week.

The game has taken the weekly top spot on eight occasions in the UK since release, including the past five weeks, during which time Call of Duty Ghosts has had to settle for the No. 2 position.

FIFA 14 retains ace position in UK charts

by Mittal Mandalia
FIFA 14 has ended on a high note by topping the last gaming charts of 2013 in the UK.

Start of 2013 saw FIFA 13 ruling the charts while FIFA 14 garnered ace position to close the year. Despite the ace position, sales of the gaming title have been down by 31 percent. Call of Duty: Ghosts managed to retain its second position with a 24 percent decline in sales, while Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag with 15 percent decline retained third spot. Battlefield 4 and Grand Theft Auto V finished at fourth and fifth positions respectively.

If we look back at 2013 and performance of the ball-kicking title, FIFA 13 stayed in the top ten for 37 successive weeks. The second best was Tomb Raider with successive 25 weeks, while Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition managed to stay in the top 10 charts for 22 weeks after release.
