FIFA 14 scores PS4 game chart number one slot

Trials Fusion slips down the charts as football fever storms the PS4 once more.

After going straight in at number one RedLynx’s addictive stunt bike game has been knocked off-track as EA’s evergreen football franchise goes back up to the top spot This sees a return to the number one spot for FIFA 14 after it was knocked down by the release of Thief back in February.

Since then FIFA 14 has maintained a strong position behind incoming PS4 titles including Sucker Punch’s Infamous:Second Son which holds onto number two this week. With the domestic season drawing to a close and football fans focusing on the Brazil World Cup this Summer it seems FIFA 14 is giving PS4 gamers something to tie them over, especially so given that PS4 will not be getting EA’s Brazil World Cup game.

Big shooters are on the up with Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty:Ghosts both climbing the charts. After going in at number four, the PS4 remake of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has dived down to 15th place.

Here’s the top twenty PS4 games as of April 26th according to the Chart Track game chart.

FIFA 14 PS4 Users Find New Issues With Game

By Harrison Hall
Football lovers who are playing FIFA 14 on the PS4 are in for some bad news. There appears to be a server issue with the game which halted online play for the highly popular sports game.

Some users revealed that whenever the squad update for co-op single player Season is downloaded, there will be an error which states that the file isn't available and prompts the user to try again later.

Even now, the issue is still there and unfixed. Many FIFA 14 players who have encountered the issue are taking it to EA’s twitter for clarification. However, the game developer has yet to address the queries from the fans.

We shall update you whenever an official announcement gets released but until then, there is no way to get through the issue. FIFA 14 players are surely hoping that EA isn't trying to be funny by pulling a belated April’s Fool joke on the community.

UK Video Game Charts: FIFA 14 Broken by LEGO The Lego Movie Videogame has shaken up the Top 20 of the UK video game charts

by Tim Smith
The Lego Movie Videogame has stopped FIFA 14's #1 dominance over the last few months in the UK All Formats chart (compiled by Chart-Track) showing the immense power of the tie-in/cross-media deal.

Here's what Chart-Track has to say: "The Lego Movie Videogame kicks FIFA 14 (-3%) off the top of the All Formats Chart to become the 6th different Lego game to reach No1, the last one being Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes back in W29 2012.

"Launched to coincide with the release of the film, Warner’s title sells 15,000 more units this week than the price-promoted Call of Duty: Ghosts (+23%), which just holds on to No2 ahead of newcomer Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XXIII at No3. FIFA 14 has to settle for 4th place, ahead of even more price-promoted titles: Grand Theft Auto V (+47%) at No5 and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag (+47%) at No8. There are two Lego games in the Top 10 this week with Lego Marvel Super Heroes (+16%) dropping one place to No6 (joined by a new DS version).

"Battlefield 4 (+4%) remains EA’s 2nd best selling title this week, a non-mover at No7, while the Top 10 is rounded off with the seemingly ever-present Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition (-4%) at No9 and Fable Anniversary (-56%) at No10. 1/8th of the Top 40 is made up of Lego titles with 5 different Lego games charting this week (the others being: Lego Batman 2 at No19, Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga at No 22 and Lego The Lord of the Rings at No27)."

EA Sports: FIFA 14 Disconnect Issues Can Be Eliminated by Restarting the Console

Video game developer EA Sports announces that it has made some progress in its investigation of the connectivity issues that are affecting the Ultimate Team mode from FIFA 14.

Apparently, for some of those who cannot play the mode simply restarting their console can have positive effects but the company is continuing to try and find the core cause of the problem and eliminate it.

EA Sports does not say exactly how many FIFA 14 Ultimate Team players are affected by the connectivity bug.

The official Twitter account promises that more information will be offered as it becomes available.

EA Sports has recently announced that it planned to deliver Brazil 2014 World Cup content on the PC, the Xbox One, and the PlayStation 4 via the Ultimate Team mode.

An official game for the tournament will be offered on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 on April 15.

Call of Duty: Ghosts managed to retain its second position with a 24 percent decline in sales, while Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag with 15 percent decline retained third spot. Battlefield 4 and Grand Theft Auto V finished at fourth and fifth positions respectively.
